Once we receive a job request, our experienced team of account managers and recruiters will begin working to source candidates according to your specific job specifications.

STEP BY STEP HIRING PROCESS FOR CONTRACT EMPLOYEES:

  1. CANDIDATE SCREENING
    During our initial phone screening of a candidate, we ask questions relative to their motivation to make a job change.  We also request information on education, credentials, licensure(s), clinical experience and references 
  2. SKILLS ASSESSMENT
    The skills assessment must be completed by the candidate prior to consideration for any position. This helps us match the candidate skills to specific job requirements.  The skills assessment includes specific age criteria. 
  3. INTERVIEW
    Client will conduct either a phone interview or face to face interview and will determine whether the candidate is a good fit for the department.  
  4. EMPLOYMENT PROCESS/DOCUMENTATION
    The employment process is very thorough.  Candidate must submit the following to be considered:  
    • Signed Employment Application (includes work history, education and references) 
    • CPR Certification 
    • TB or Chest X-ray 
    • State and/or National Licenses/Certifications 
    • MMR Records (when applicable) 
    • HIPPA Acknowledgement 
    • W-4            
    • I-9 with supporting documents 
    • Permanent Tax Residence Declaration 
    • Medical Release Form 
    • Physician Statement (when applicable) 
    • Hepatitis B Documentation/Declaration 
    • Affirmative Action Form 
    • Background Check Authorization 
    • Code of Ethics 
    • Employee Handbook 
    • Annual OSHA/HIPAA Training
  5. BACKGROUND CHECK
    Pure Medical Staff conducts a background check on every new hire.  Clients usually have specific requirements and Pure Medical Staff will fulfill those requirements. 
  6. DRUG SCREEN
    Pure Medical Staffing screens for standard drugs of abuse and abused prescription medications.  Drug screens are tailored per client and may consist of a 5 panel or 10 panel.  Clients may request specific requirements and Pure Medical Staffing will fulfill those requirements.  
  7. IMMUNITY HISTORY
    We verify each candidate's immunization history. Immunizations included are Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.  We also require TB skin testing on an annual basis, with all positive skin tests resolved by a negative chest x-ray and physician statement. 
  8. ANNUAL INSERVICE
    OSHA guidelines annual educational training.  Topics include but are not limited to Universal Precautions, Hazardous Materials, Infection Control, Blood Borne Pathogens, AIDS, HIPAA, Age Appropriate Care, Elder Abuse and Neglect, Emergency Preparedness, Advance Medical Directives, Workplace/Domestic Violence, Cultural Diversity, Sensitivity Training, Drug Free Workplace, etc. 
  9. PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS
    We request that a supervisor complete a performance evaluation for each of our contract employees.  We use this information as ongoing validation of our initial professional reference sourcing and in the decision to assign a contract employee to additional assignments.
